Strategic Communication through Storytelling
Strategic Communication through Storytelling is a 2-day instructor-led training programme designed to help professionals communicate ideas more clearly, persuasively and memorably through storytelling. The course explores how stories, pictures and metaphors can strengthen business communication and how different narrative structures can be applied to meetings, presentations, speeches and stakeholder communications. Participants will learn to transform data, proposals and business updates into compelling narratives using frameworks such as the three-scene act, story web, four-step narrative and reverse four-step narrative.
The programme also develops presentation delivery through the 7Ps of great storytelling: Pitch, Pace, Pause, Power Words, Punchline, Presence and Projection. Through practical exercises, participants will build a personal story bank and develop a strategic story based on a real workplace scenario. The course is suitable for executives, managers, business development professionals, department heads, supervisors and team leads.
We are surrounded by stories; we just need to learn to use them. In today's fast-moving workplace, professionals are expected to present ideas, win support, and drive decisions in meetings, boardrooms, and public settings, often with long, unstructured messages that fail to hold an audience's attention.
This two-day program equips participants to use storytelling as a strategic communication tool. They will examine how stories, pictures, and metaphors work, why they work, what form they take, when to use them, and who they appeal to, and then apply proven narrative frameworks to bring even a potentially mundane presentation to life.
Through interactive lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, and group discussions, participants will build a personal story bank, structure clearer and more memorable messages, and strengthen their confidence and stage presence.
By the end of the program, participants will move from simply presenting information to strategically crafting and delivering stories that influence, align, and persuade, both inside and outside the organization
